The Nec NP4000 is a BrilliantColor-DLP projector offering 5000 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 2500:1 and a resolution of XGA 1024 x 768. According to Nec, the included lamp lasts up to 2000 hours. To facilitate room installation, the device is equipped with mechanical lens shift and additional keystone correction, allowing the projected image to be positioned with immense flexibility. To meet a wide variety of installation conditions, the projector offers the option of using different interchangeable lenses. Verifying the respective distances is easily possible via the Lens Calculator. A look at the light output reveals: The 5000 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 616 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 411 cm. For integration into professional environments, an RJ45 connection is available for network control and remote maintenance. Since entering the market in 2007, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model.
