The PA853W model from Nec combines LCD technology in the Stationary sector with 8500 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 10000:1 and a native WXGA 1280 x 800 resolution. According to Nec, the included lamp lasts up to 3000 hours. Regarding setup flexibility, the model features an optical lens shift function alongside digital keystone correction, allowing for precise alignment without distortion. For maximum setup flexibility, the model supports optional interchangeable lenses, meaning the optics can be precisely matched to individual on-site requirements. Suitable distances can be determined using the Lens Calculator. Looking at practical performance, up to 937 cm can be illuminated with 8500 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 625 cm. Should very large projection surfaces be required, the integrated edge-blending software offers the possibility to seamlessly combine images from multiple projectors without visible seams. In terms of video signals, the device processes resolutions up to Full HD 1080P and 4K as well as 3D. Furthermore, the model supports 360° projections for highly flexible deployment scenarios. Connectivity for fixed installations is rounded off by an RJ45 port for remote maintenance and an HDBaseT interface, which transmits bundled video, audio, and control data over long cable runs. The projector was released in 2017 and is officially no longer distributed by Nec.
