The MT1030 is a LCD projector by Nec, whose specifications list 900 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 300:1 and a XGA 1024 x 768 resolution. The manufacturer lists the lamp life at 2000 hours. A look at the light output reveals: The 900 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 261 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 174 cm. Also on board is a local media player that allows reading and playing content directly from storage media. This device is no longer manufactured and has been removed from Nec's current lineup. For your information: Compatible lamps for this device are no longer available in stores.

it is due to the picture unit! if projectors get too hot, it can happen that the LCD panels in the picture unit shift => the colors are no longer correctly superimposed and there are such red stripes. You can try to fix this by realigning the panels individually, in this case probably only the red one. But I have to say that it is extremely difficult to align the panels exactly congruent again
