The PE455WL model from Nec combines LCD technology in the Stationary sector with 4500 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 450000:1 and a native WXGA 1280 x 80 resolution. The manufacturer lists the lifespan for this model at 20000 hours. With four hours of daily operation, this corresponds to a period of 13.7 years. Thanks to the combination of optical lens shift and digital keystone correction, the projected image's position can be adjusted very flexibly. The Distance Calculator helps find the optimal installation dimensions. Looking at practical performance, up to 682 cm can be illuminated with 4500 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 455 cm. For media input, video signals up to 1080P are supported, and also offers the technical capability for 360° projection. For convenient remote monitoring and administration, the projector is equipped with a classic RJ45 network socket. In the specifications, the operating noise is listed at a mere 27 decibels, indicating very quiet cooling. The projector was released in 2019 and is officially no longer distributed by Nec.
