The equipment of the Nec P420X projector includes 4200 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 2000:1 with a XGA 1024 x 768 display. The manufacturer lists the lamp life at 3000 hours. Looking at practical performance, up to 564 cm can be illuminated with 4200 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 376 cm. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content. As an additional feature, an integrated media player enables the direct playback of files without an external source device. For integration into professional environments, an RJ45 connection is available for network control and remote maintenance. The projector was released in 2011 and is officially no longer distributed by Nec.
