The EB-720 model from Epson combines LCD technology in the Short Distance sector with 3800 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 2500000:1 and a native XGA 1024 x 768 resolution. With its built-in laser light source, the projector achieves a manufacturer-stated lifespan of 20000 hours, which translates to 13.7 years with 4 hours of daily use. To ensure a rectangular image even with asymmetrical placement, the projector includes digital keystone correction for both the horizontal and vertical axes. The short-throw capabilities allow for large images at a short projection distance. According to specifications, a 2-meter wide image requires a distance of only 64 cm. Looking at practical performance, up to 537 cm can be illuminated with 3800 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 358 cm. In terms of video signals, the device processes resolutions up to Full HD 1080P and 4K as well as 3D. Furthermore, the model supports 360° projections for highly flexible deployment scenarios. Also on board is a local media player that allows reading and playing content directly from storage media. For integration into professional environments, an RJ45 connection is available for network control and remote maintenance. Since the projector supports Miracast screen mirroring, video signals can also be streamed wirelessly from the end device.
