With the EB 1785W, Epson offers a LCD projector that features 3200 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 10000:1 and a resolution of WXGA 1280 x 800. According to Epson, the included lamp lasts up to 4000 hours. With two hours of daily operation, this corresponds to a period of 5.5 years. The image geometry can be adjusted via the built-in keystone correction so that a clean, rectangular display is achieved even with non-ideal placement. A look at the light output reveals: The 3200 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 575 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 383 cm. For media input, video signals up to 1080P are supported. Also on board is a local media player that allows reading and playing content directly from storage media. Thanks to MHL support, screen content from mobile devices can be transmitted via cable, including charging power for the device. Since entering the market in 2017, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model.
