A projector from Mitsubishi is the XL5900U, whose LCD model delivers 3900 ANSI lumens, a resolution of XGA 1024 x 768 and a contrast of 600:1. According to Mitsubishi, the lamp has a durability of 2000 hours. Both optical image shifting (lens shift) and digital keystone adjustment are included, enabling exact alignment on the screen. The specifications identify the device as a model with an interchangeable lens option. Matching optional optics allow for exact adaptation to the required image size and projection distance, which can be calculated directly with the Lens Calculator. A look at the light output reveals: The 3900 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 544 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 363 cm. Since entering the market in 2003, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model.
