This projector is named HC1500, originates from Mitsubishi, and its data sheet shows 1600 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 2500:1 and a resolution of HDTV 1280 x 720. The manufacturer lists the lamp life at 2000 hours. Should a perpendicular setup to the screen not be possible, the integrated keystone correction (horizontal and vertical) helps to realign the image into a perfect rectangle. Looking at practical performance, up to 406 cm can be illuminated with 1600 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 271 cm. This model dates back to 2007 and is no longer part of Mitsubishi's current product range.

I‘ve had the projector for a few days now, but I can safely say it‘s the quietest projector I‘ve ever had. The image is very high-contrast and the iris used means that there is very little stray light on the image. Accordingly, the reproduced black is really good. The brightness is sufficient for my taste, even when projecting in daylight. When it comes to resolution, you have to make a few compromises when reproducing FullHD material, as the native resolution is only just above 720p. With 1080i material from the SAT receiver, I noticed a slight vertical "flickering" only when looking closely, which is not there with 720p playback.
The projector would benefit from a lens shift function, you have to position it fairly exactly in the middle of the screen.
All in all, however, a good HD-ready projector that can definitely be recommended.
For me, the purchase (used device) was worth it.

After a long search, I finally found what I was looking for.
I had been looking for a projector for my room with a viewing distance of 4 m and a 2 m 16:9 screen width that offered great value for money and a good HD picture.
After also looking at some excellent DLP projectors from Planar and Optoma, I came to the conclusion that it should be this projector.
The projector is located directly behind me on a windowsill and can only be heard very quietly in ECO mode. The picture can be adjusted in a variety of ways, although the Cinema setting already provides a great picture. It already corresponds to the cinematic cinema picture with extraordinary sharpness. The typical DLP effect is not present. The color space is great for a DLP projector. The contrast and black level are also great for me. This projector meets very high standards. A Full HD projector does bring a little more detail, but at a viewing distance of 4 m, this can no longer be seen, so that the image is perfectly adequate and almost has Full HD character. I can recommend this projector to anyone who is looking for a projector at an affordable price that also delivers a top picture and is not too big.

Very sharp, clear image and extensive menu!!
A few days ago I bought the HC1500. I went to the Projektor AG in Cologne Dellbrüch to be able to look at as many devices as possible. I was in the projection room for about 3 hours, comparing one projector after the other. My own notebook was connected to all the projectors.
I was primarily looking for a projector for a photo presentation. So what mattered was a sharp, high-contrast image, preferably without color distortion. Not a colorful, but a natural representation should be the goal. Based on my calibrated notebook monitor, very good comparison options were also available.
Understandably, of course, only a compromise is possible in this price range, but a photo projector, for example from Canon, is available from about €2000, which is clearly too much money for me. Overall, I decided on the HC1500 because
- the sharpness of the image is completely acceptable at the resolution
- it has a very pleasant image display for the eye
- it conveys a very high level of detail due to its high contrast
- it has a very extensive menu for image adjustment, e.g. it is possible to adjust tonal values, manually set the white balance, etc. .
- and last but not least, it has a very high-quality feel and its lens can be zoomed and focused well.
So for me, all in all, it is a highly recommended device in its price range.
Unfortunately, no bag is included and the remote control does not have a laser.
Best regards

For 16:9 it‘s a great device :)
The 4:3 mode fades out the left and right edges - unsuitable for 4:3
