Categorized in the Standard-Portabel segment, the XD221U ST projector from Mitsubishi projects with a XGA 1024 x 768 resolution, alongside 2000 ANSI lumens and a contrast of 2500:1. The manufacturer lists the lamp life at 3000 hours. Looking at practical performance, up to 389 cm can be illuminated with 2000 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 259 cm. For convenient remote monitoring and administration, the projector is equipped with a classic RJ45 network socket. The projector was released in 2010 and is officially no longer distributed by Mitsubishi.
