Known as the X500U, this LCD projector by Mitsubishi features basic specs of 3700 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 500:1 at a XGA 1024 x 768 resolution. In operating mode, the installed projector lamp offers a lifespan of 2000 hours. The specifications identify the device as a model with an interchangeable lens option. Matching optional optics allow for exact adaptation to the required image size and projection distance, which can be calculated directly with the Projection Calculator. Looking at practical performance, up to 530 cm can be illuminated with 3700 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 353 cm. Additionally, a built-in ambient light sensor measures the room lighting and automatically adjusts the projection settings. This model dates back to 2001 and is no longer part of Mitsubishi's current product range.
