As a projector for the Standard-Portabel sector, the Mitsubishi WD510U is equipped with 2600 ANSI lumens, a WXGA 1280 x 800 resolution and a contrast of 2000:1. According to Mitsubishi, the lamp has a durability of 2000 hours. Looking at practical performance, up to 518 cm can be illuminated with 2600 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 345 cm. Since entering the market in 2008, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model.

Hello everyone,
I bought my WD 510 U on e-bay as an exhibition unit with 0 hours running time for less than 200€ and am completely thrilled with the picture quality and flexibility of the device, the projector would have been worth the usual 700+€ to me. I needed a projector that produces a large, sharp, colorful picture at short distances without fly screens, and now I have it. 1st class!!!

Question
Lets say I have the choice between the Mitsubishi WD 510 U and the Optoma HD700X for almost the same price. The application would be for watching movies on a PC and possibly playing games on a PC. Which device would you recommend?
