The projector HC5000 by Mitsubishi operates as a LCD device with 1000 ANSI lumens, a HDTV 1920 x 1080 resolution and a contrast of 10000:1. In operating mode, the installed projector lamp offers a lifespan of 2000 hours. Both optical image shifting (lens shift) and digital keystone adjustment are included, enabling exact alignment on the screen. Accurate distances are provided by the Distance Calculator. A look at the light output reveals: The 1000 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 321 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 214 cm. In terms of video signals, the device processes resolutions up to Full HD 1080P. With a value of only 22 decibels, the noise level during operation remains pleasantly in the background. Since entering the market in 2006, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model. This model continues to hold a solid place in our database search queries.

HC-5000 ingenious !
I use the projector with various devices. devices: Toshiba HD-DVD player from USA signal 1080i/60, XBOX360 signal 1080p/60u.50, Samsung DVD player with upconverting to 1080i/60u.50Mitsubishi has long been a very well-known company in Asia and the USA, but here in Europe even many dealers are still very reserved and skeptical - unfortunately - not least because falling prices and rising quality reduce margins and the sale of expensive technology from established brands such as Sony is no longer really necessary or logically explainable. Colors are out of the box for most without blemish and with little adjustment work even for professionals almost perfect
I bought the device for the equivalent of 3200 euros, which is only 1.6 euros per pixel (roughly calculated with 2 million pixels)
You will not regret a cent of it and other manufacturers demand a multiple .......
Only the addition of the iris diaphragm is visible, but still acceptable with a good result at level 2 - in my opinion the only small point of criticism I have, but absolutely bearable in view of the incredibly low price.
The HQV technology does an excellent job, better than many a chip from Faroudja. It‘s not for nothing that it has only been used in high-end devices so far - thank you Mitsubishi - are you looking for a top-class projector for little money? The HC-5000 has all the connections and features you need - including 1080p/24. What more could a home cinema heart want?
So, and now I have to stop, the show is about to start ......
