With the XD8100, Mitsubishi offers a BrilliantColor-DLP projector that features 7000 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 2000:1 and a resolution of XGA 1024 x 768. The runtime of the lamp in this model is estimated at 2000 hours before a replacement is necessary. The presence of a lens shift function enables flexible vertical or horizontal positioning of the projector without digital interference. The specifications identify the device as a model with an interchangeable lens option. Matching optional optics allow for exact adaptation to the required image size and projection distance, which can be calculated directly with the Projection Calculator. A look at the light output reveals: The 7000 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 729 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 486 cm. Should very large projection surfaces be required, the integrated edge-blending software offers the possibility to seamlessly combine images from multiple projectors without visible seams. In terms of video signals, the device processes resolutions up to Full HD 1080P. For integration into professional environments, an RJ45 connection is available for network control and remote maintenance. This model dates back to 2010 and is no longer part of Mitsubishi's current product range.
