The Mitsubishi WD8700U /L is a 3D-BrilliantColor-DLP projector offering 7300 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 2000:1 and a resolution of WXGA 1280 x 800. The manufacturer specifies a runtime of 2000 hours for this projector's lamp. For precise setup, the device features a lens shift mechanism that allows for purely optical image shifting. The specifications identify the device as a model with an interchangeable lens option. Matching optional optics allow for exact adaptation to the required image size and projection distance, which can be calculated directly with the Distance Calculator. A look at the light output reveals: The 7300 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 868 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 579 cm. Should very large projection surfaces be required, the integrated edge-blending software offers the possibility to seamlessly combine images from multiple projectors without visible seams. For media input, video signals up to 1080P are supported. For integration into professional environments, an RJ45 connection is available for network control and remote maintenance. The projector was released in 2013 and is officially no longer distributed by Mitsubishi.
