The Mitsubishi HC4000 is a DLP projector offering 1300 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 4000:1 and a resolution of HDTV 1920 x 1080. According to Mitsubishi, the included lamp lasts up to 3000 hours. A look at the light output reveals: The 1300 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 366 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 244 cm. For media input, video signals up to 1080P are supported. This model dates back to 2010 and is no longer part of Mitsubishi's current product range. However, it remains frequently searched within our database.

Cinema is at home
We have owned the projector for 4 weeks and are thrilled! It was time to buy a new projector. The old one (SANYO Z1) had been in use for 9 years and in the age of Blu-ray quality it was time. Initially we were considering another LCD, but a visit to Beamer-Discount in the projection room changed our minds. As there was no RBE to be seen from the family, the contrast and black levels were particularly impressive. The quiet fan noise (LOW) should also be emphasized positively. However, you have to be careful when installing it, as the projector is not as flexible without lens shift. However, this is not a problem if you have halfway decent technical skills. So the picture is no better in the cinema - at most bigger. Given the picture and the price, I would absolutely recommend buying it.

good device
I have owned this projector for a good month now.
Beamer runs in low mode- is absolutely fine. The picture is very sharp and in my opinion offers a good black value and white is also pretty good. You can hear the fan and I can also detect a rainbow effect. It‘s particularly noticeable in dark and fast movie scenes and when the eyelashes are blinking, which is why it only scores 75 points.
All in all, a top projector for the money

I am very satisfied
We are very satisfied with the HC4000.
Neither my wife nor I could see any rainbow effects. The picture is very sharp and rich in contrast. In a reasonably darkened room, we can easily manage with the lower lamp performance (Lamp mode= low)
The device is right next to the sofa and the fan noise is super quiet. We‘ve seen various Epson devices in comparison and they were significantly more expensive with comparable quality.
