The Mitsubishi HC4900 is a LCD projector offering 1000 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 7500:1 and a resolution of HDTV 1920 x 1080. According to Mitsubishi, the included lamp lasts up to 2000 hours. Regarding setup flexibility, the model features an optical lens shift function alongside digital keystone correction, allowing for precise alignment; exact values can be calculated using the Distance Calculator. Looking at practical performance, up to 321 cm can be illuminated with 1000 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 214 cm. In terms of video signals, the device processes resolutions up to Full HD 1080P. A look at the data sheet confirms a very subtle fan noise for the projector at just 22 decibels. Since entering the market in 2007, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model. However, it remains frequently searched within our database.

The picture is already great. In Full HD too. But my previous projector (Panasonic PT-AE 900) was no worse. Maybe even a bit sharper. And that despite only 1280x1080 pixels.......
In addition, the initial installation is a mockery due to the lack of manual focusing! Mitsubishi can learn from Panasonic here......
But it‘s a good purchase for someone who wants to watch Full HD and it‘s their first projector. Brightness completely sufficient for living room conditions
Set back sharpness !
Picture via HDMI worse than via component.......
Fan not audible ! My Toshiba HD-DVD player is louder.......

Geht so
The HC4900 has 24p - However, the Ansi contrast could be a bit higher. The black level is also in need of improvement.
The picture is crisp and sharp, at least with HDMI (if you feed in HD material) and absolutely great in dark rooms.
The DVI-D interface doesn‘t really want to work on my PC (Mac mini) - so check beforehand whether the device works on this projector.
In any case ok for the price - you won‘t find a cheaper FULL HD 1080p projector at the moment.

WOW a dealer !
Objectives Opinion of a non-dealer:
The HC 4900 is a HC 5000 in a new guise. ANSI contrast..weak ! Aperture...weak!
No 24p........weak ! Overall ....eher extremely mediocre.

What more can I say?
The Mitsubishi HC4900 is convincing across the board.
The picture is great, the black level is superb and with HD signals it always puts a smile on your face.
It is in no way inferior to other Full HD projectors and it is simply fun to use this projector.
I can only recommend the HC4900 to anyone who wants to buy a top projector for under €2000.
