Known as the PH450UG, this DLP projector by LG features basic specs of 450 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 100000:1 at a HDTV 1280 x 720 resolution. The manufacturer specifies a durability of 30000 hours for the LED light source – calculating to 20.5 years at four hours of use per day. For mobile use, grid-independent operation is possible for a maximum period of 5 hours thanks to the built-in battery. A look at the light output reveals: The 450 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 216 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 144 cm. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content. As an additional feature, an integrated media player enables the direct playback of files without an external source device. Furthermore, the model is Bluetooth-enabled, allowing audio signals to be sent wirelessly to external speakers. Thanks to MHL support, screen content from mobile devices can be transmitted via cable, including charging power for the device. Since the projector supports optional Miracast screen mirroring, video signals can also be streamed wirelessly from the end device. A look at the data sheet confirms a very subtle fan noise for the projector at just 30 decibels. Since entering the market in 2016, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model. In our projector directory, the device still generates high interest.
