The projector PF80G by LG operates as a DLP device with 1000 ANSI lumens, a HDTV 1920 x 1080 resolution and a contrast of 100000:1. LG lists a runtime of 30000 hours for the LED in this projector. Daily use of 4 hours makes an operational lifespan of over 20.5 years possible. A look at the light output reveals: The 1000 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 321 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 214 cm. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content. Also on board is a local media player that allows reading and playing content directly from storage media. For integration into professional environments, an RJ45 connection is available for network control and remote maintenance. The projector was released in 2013 and is officially no longer distributed by LG.

Advantages: No perceptible RGB effect, no dust grains behind the lens even after prolonged operation, very good colors, good contrast, volume in low and medium mode okay, long LED life, according to the manufacturer 30000 hours
Disadvantages: Lens fixed, just has to fit, plastic lens, but can‘t find any disadvantages
Had an Epson 6000 with dust problems until now, this projector has replaced it without any problems, full recommendation!

Top unit
Pro:
+high picture sharpness
+good brightness even beyond 2m picture width on 1.0 gain screen (even on white woodchip wallpaper still very good picture)
+realistic believable and yet rich color representation
+good in picture contrast
+black level in my opinion. quite acceptable to good
+motion display good
+fan volume in all 3 modes acceptable to almost inaudible
+connectivity is top incl. e.g. wireless connection of mobile devices
& integrated media player for e.g. playing various video material sources from USB, Ethernet or wireless sources
2 HDMI inputs incl. 1 MHL In and various audio out interfaces together with SPDIF optical digital output.
+compact and, in my opinion, one of the most beautiful projectors on the market
+extremely durable and cost-effective to operate thanks to LEDs
+good price/performance
+menu navigation and operability very good and intuitive to use
Contra:
-Fixfocus (projection size can be changed simply by varying the distance to the screen - in my opinion but not a problem)
-no lens shift - but in my opinion not a problem and not standard in this compact device class anyway)
-no 3D (but in my opinion overrated anyway)
The last 3 points mentioned are not a real problem for me, however, as I use a 2 m wide portable screen for mobile use and a 2.5 m wide motorized screen at home. With the former, the projection distance is approx. 3 m and with the latter approx. 3.4 m.
It‘s easy to handle.
All in all, a top device that is currently unrivaled on the market.
