The LG BF40QS is a 3D-DLP projector that brings 4000 ANSI lumens, a WUXGA 1920 x 1200 resolution alongside a contrast of 3000000:1. This is a laser projector with a light source designed to last for 20000 hours, which translates to 13.7 years with 4 hours of daily use. In terms of image alignment, the model offers an optical lens shift function, allowing the image to be shifted without quality loss. The exact adjustment leeway can be calculated in the Projection Calculator. Looking at practical performance, up to 643 cm can be illuminated with 4000 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 429 cm. In terms of video signals, the device processes resolutions up to Full HD 1080P and 4K as well as 3D, meaning standard Blu-ray formats are processed effortlessly. As an additional feature, an integrated media player enables the direct playback of files without an external source device. Furthermore, the model is Bluetooth-enabled, allowing audio signals to be sent wirelessly to external speakers. For integration into professional environments, an RJ45 connection is available for network control and remote maintenance. A look at the data sheet confirms a very subtle fan noise for the projector at just 29 decibels. Since entering the market in 2023, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model. In our projector directory, the device still generates high interest.
