A projector from Vivitek is the DX6731, whose Laser-BrilliantColor-DLP model delivers 7000 ANSI lumens, a resolution of XGA 1024 x 768 and a contrast of 3000:1. In operating mode, the installed projector lamp offers a lifespan of 4500 hours, which amounts to roughly 6.2 years at 2 hours of daily use. The image geometry can be adjusted via the built-in keystone correction so that a clean, rectangular display is achieved even with non-ideal placement. To meet a wide variety of installation conditions, the projector offers the option of using different interchangeable lenses. Verifying the respective distances is easily possible via the Lens Calculator. A look at the light output reveals: The 7000 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 729 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 486 cm. Connectivity for fixed installations is rounded off by an RJ45 port for remote maintenance and an HDBaseT interface, which transmits bundled video, audio, and control data over long cable runs. The projector was released in 2017 and is officially no longer distributed by Vivitek.
