The DU8395Z-BK is a 3D-Laser-BrilliantColor-DLP projector by Vivitek, whose specifications list 15000 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 10000:1 and a WUXGA 1920 x 1200 resolution. Using this laser phosphor technology, the light source runtime is rated at 20000 hours – calculating to 13.7 years at four hours of use per day. To compensate for angled projection positions, the model features 2D keystone correction, which digitally corrects trapezoidal distortion. The specifications identify the device as a model with an interchangeable lens option. Matching optional optics allow for exact adaptation to the required image size and projection distance, which can be calculated directly with the Distance Calculator. A look at the light output reveals: The 15000 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 1244 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 829 cm. Should very large projection surfaces be required, the integrated edge-blending software offers the possibility to seamlessly combine images from multiple projectors without visible seams. For media input, video signals up to 1080P as well as 3D are supported. Furthermore, the model supports 360° projections for highly flexible deployment scenarios. For convenient remote monitoring and administration, the projector is equipped with a classic RJ45 network socket. The projector was released in 2021 and is officially no longer distributed by Vivitek. In our projector directory, the device still generates high interest.
