Based on DLP technology, the Vivitek DK8500Z - device delivers 7500 ANSI lumens, a resolution of 4KESHIFT 2716 x 1528 and a contrast of 10000:1 as a projector. The laser technology ensures a specified light source lifespan of up to 20000 hours. With four hours of daily operation, this corresponds to a period of 13.7 years. For distortion-free image alignment, the projector offers both a lens shift function and keystone correction. The amount of leeway the lens provides can be checked in the Lens Shift Calculator. Looking at practical performance, up to 880 cm can be illuminated with 7500 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 587 cm. Should very large projection surfaces be required, the integrated edge-blending software offers the possibility to seamlessly combine images from multiple projectors without visible seams. For media input, video signals up to 1080P and 4K as well as 3D are supported, meaning standard Blu-ray formats are processed effortlessly. Regarding professional networking, the device offers a classic RJ45 LAN port for control alongside HDBaseT for the lossless transmission of picture and sound over long distances. Since entering the market in 2017, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model.
