Behind the name DH559ST is a 3D-DLP projector by Vivitek, whose main features include 3000 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 15000:1 and a HDTV 1920 x 1080 resolution. According to Vivitek, the lamp has a durability of 5000 hours – mathematically sufficient for 6.8 years based on two hours of use per day. A special feature is the short-throw lens, which allows the device to be positioned at a very short distance from the screen. According to the data sheet, an image width of 2 meters is achieved from a distance of just 138 cm. Looking at practical performance, up to 556 cm can be illuminated with 3000 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 371 cm. In terms of video signals, the device processes resolutions up to Full HD 1080P as well as 3D. Thanks to MHL support, screen content from mobile devices can be transmitted via cable, including charging power for the device. The projector was released in 2016 and is officially no longer distributed by Vivitek.
