The projector DU8055Z by Vivitek utilizes DLP technology and, according to the spec sheet, achieves 16000 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 3000000:1 at a resolution of WUXGA 1920 x 1200. With its built-in laser light source, the projector achieves a manufacturer-stated lifespan of 20000 hours – equivalent to a usable life of 13.7 years at 4 hours a day. Regarding setup flexibility, the model features an optical lens shift function alongside digital keystone correction, allowing for precise alignment without distortion. Thanks to the interchangeable lens system, the device can be equipped with optional lenses to react flexibly to different room sizes. Exact values for specific rooms are provided by the Projector Calculator. A look at the light output reveals: The 16000 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 1285 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 857 cm. Should very large projection surfaces be required, the integrated edge-blending software offers the possibility to seamlessly combine images from multiple projectors without visible seams. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content and 4K as well as 3D. An additional 360° projection capability allows the device to be oriented at almost any angle. The model is perfectly equipped for complex installations: In addition to the RJ45 jack for network administration, an HDBaseT port is available, transporting high-resolution AV signals over a single Cat cable.
