The projector Grand Cinema C3X LINK by SIM2 operates as a DLP device with 2500 ANSI lumens, a HDTV 1280 x 720 resolution and a contrast of 6500:1. According to SIM2, the included lamp lasts up to 1500 hours. To facilitate room installation, the device is equipped with mechanical lens shift and additional keystone correction, allowing the projected image to be positioned with immense flexibility. A major advantage for professional installations is the ability to use interchangeable lenses, allowing the projector to adapt to highly varied projection distances. Which optic is required for a specific case can easily be calculated via the Lens Calculator. Looking at practical performance, up to 508 cm can be illuminated with 2500 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 339 cm. In terms of video signals, the device processes resolutions up to Full HD 1080P. For integration into professional environments, an RJ45 connection is available for network control and remote maintenance. The projector was released in 2005 and is officially no longer distributed by SIM2. Important maintenance note: It is no longer possible to procure replacement lamps for this model.
