The DLA X35 is a 3D-Laser-DILA projector by JVC, whose specifications list 1300 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 50000:1 and a HDTV 1920 x 1080 resolution. In operating mode, the installed projector lamp offers a lifespan of 4000 hours – mathematically sufficient for 5.5 years based on two hours of use per day. The device is available in black and white color options. The presence of a lens shift function enables flexible vertical or horizontal positioning of the projector. The achievable distances are shown in the Projector Calculator. A look at the light output reveals: The 1300 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 366 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 244 cm. In terms of video signals, the device processes resolutions up to Full HD 1080P as well as 3D. For convenient remote monitoring and administration, the projector is equipped with a classic RJ45 network socket. Regarding noise emissions, the model proves to be exceptionally quiet during operation, producing just 20 decibels. Since entering the market in 2012, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model. However, it remains frequently searched within our database.

Have had the projector for 8 years now and am still very satisfied. Black level and sharpness are really great. I can‘t think of a replacement at the moment - except beyond the 5K mark. There are many bright projectors out there, but this black... simply awesome (and nice and quiet).

Very good 2D and 3D projector.
I bought this projector to replace my X30 because it has a much better ghosting in 3D. This is due to the new control electronics and also to the new wireless glasses system, which now finally has larger lenses and an even brighter 3D image (and no interference from other IR remote controls in the HK). In 2D, the pixel noise has been significantly reduced (no longer visible). The optical sharpness of the projector, as well as the contrast and black level without the electric iris (natively achieved contrast) is already enormous for this price range. In addition, a novelty in this class is the fully electronic lens shift (in both directions) with lens memory (5 positions), which was an indispensable feature for me (16:9 screen masking). I also had the Sony HW 50es at home for testing with very good picture results, but the manual lens shift and the necessary focus adjustment afterwards annoyed me too much. At the moment, in my opinion, the JVC has the best overall package in this price range. The next projector (if it has electronic shift) might be a Sony (then hopefully with LED lamp technology)!
