The equipment of the JVC DLA M4000 projector includes 4000 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 350:1 with a SXGA+ 1365 x 1024 display. The manufacturer rates the durability of the included lamp at 1000 hours. An integrated lens shift provides significant leeway for placement. The lens can be adjusted to precisely align the image even with off-center installations. A major advantage for professional installations is the ability to use interchangeable lenses, allowing the projector to adapt to highly varied projection distances. Which optic is required for a specific case can easily be calculated via the Lens Calculator. A look at the light output reveals: The 4000 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 551 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 367 cm. The projector was released in 2000 and is officially no longer distributed by JVC.
