This projector from JVC utilizes DILA technology, achieving 5000 ANSI lumens and a contrast of 1000:1 at a resolution of SXGA+ 1365 x 1024. According to JVC, the included lamp lasts up to 1000 hours. For precise setup, the device features a lens shift mechanism that allows for purely optical image shifting. The specifications identify the device as a model with an interchangeable lens option. Matching optional optics allow for exact adaptation to the required image size and projection distance, which can be calculated directly with the Lens Calculator. A look at the light output reveals: The 5000 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 616 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 411 cm. Should very large projection surfaces be required, the integrated edge-blending software offers the possibility to seamlessly combine images from multiple projectors without visible seams. The projector was released in 2002 and is officially no longer distributed by JVC. Note: According to our information, replacement lamps (original or generic) are no longer available for this projector.
