Based on LCD technology, the Philips ProScreen 4750 Impact device delivers 1000 ANSI lumens, a resolution of XGA 1024 x 768 and a contrast of 170:1 as a projector. According to Philips, the included lamp lasts up to 4000 hours. With two hours of daily operation, this corresponds to a period of 5.5 years. Looking at practical performance, up to 275 cm can be illuminated with 1000 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 183 cm. The projector was released in 1999 and is officially no longer distributed by Philips.

I bought the pro screen 4750 impact on ebay at the beginning of 2007. With 300€ and a remaining lamp life of 3700 hours (although the counter can also be reset) I think I got a bargain. I‘m completely satisfied and with 1024x768 it‘s still perfectly equipped even at 8 years old, in my opinion. The contrast is of course not comparable to a high-end device of today, but it‘s enough for a successful home theater evening with friends. Only the loud fan is annoying if you sit right next to it, but hey, let‘s just make the movie a little louder
