The Philips bClever SV1 is a LED-LCD projector that brings 1100 ANSI lumens, a SVGA 800 x 600 resolution alongside a contrast of 300:1. The manufacturer specifies a runtime of 6000 hours for this projector's lamp. With two hours of daily operation, this corresponds to a period of 8.2 years. Regarding projection size, the value of 1100 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 289 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 193 cm. For media input, video signals up to 1080P are supported. With a value of only 29 decibels, the noise level during operation remains pleasantly in the background. Since entering the market in 2003, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model.

In the meantime, I think a higher resolution would be better....
But it works for me.....

Home cinema experience at a fair price!
Hello, I bought the Philips projector at Mediamarkt in Berlin for 799,- EUR during the European Soccer Championship 2004. It has been working perfectly ever since. Of course, it is not a device for presentations in daylight. The room must at least be darkened for presentations. To watch films, the room should be very dark so that you can still see something even in dark scenes. I‘m very happy with it so far.
I also have the first lamp in there, which is supposed to last up to 6000 hours. I don‘t think I‘ll ever manage that. I watch about 1-2 movies a week on it and have never regretted making the investment. Above all, it is very quiet and also looks stylish.
The best picture quality is achieved via the VGA connection, as the pictures appear muddy and blurred via the chinch connection. That‘s why it‘s best to connect it to the PC, then you have a super picture for an 800x600 pixel projector. It is also important to set the resolution on the PC to 800x600 pixels to get the best result. And if anyone thinks that VGA resolution is too low: if you use it to watch a movie on DVD, that‘s quite enough, because more resolution would make the DVD content look pixelated - who wants that?
