According to Hitachi, the Puppy Cube model provides 300 ANSI lumens, a contrast ratio of 600:1 alongside a HDTV 1280 x 720 resolution. With its built-in wide-angle optics, the device belongs to the category of short-throw projectors. An image width of 2 meters is realized from a short distance of 78 cm. Regarding projection size, the value of 300 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 176 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 117 cm. For media input, video signals up to 1080P are supported. Furthermore, the model is Bluetooth-enabled, allowing audio signals to be sent wirelessly to external speakers. Since the projector supports Miracast, Airplay and DLNA screen mirroring, video signals can also be streamed wirelessly from the end device. Regarding noise emissions, the model proves to be exceptionally quiet during operation, producing just 30 decibels. The projector was released in 2018 and is officially no longer distributed by Hitachi.
