Based on DLP technology, the Sharp XV Z10000E projects images in a High-End Homecinema environment, with technical specs listing 800 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 2600:1, and a HDTV 1280 x 720 resolution. The runtime of the lamp in this model is estimated at 2000 hours before a replacement is necessary. Both optical image shifting (lens shift) and digital keystone adjustment are included, enabling exact alignment on the screen. Accurate distances are provided by the Projector Calculator. Looking at practical performance, up to 287 cm can be illuminated with 800 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 191 cm. The projector was released in 2002 and is officially no longer distributed by Sharp.
