Behind the name XG C50XE is a LCD projector by Sharp, whose main features include 3000 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 400:1 and a XGA 1024 x 768 resolution. The manufacturer rates the durability of the included lamp at 2000 hours. To meet a wide variety of installation conditions, the projector offers the option of using different interchangeable lenses. Verifying the respective distances is easily possible via the Projection Calculator. A look at the light output reveals: The 3000 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 477 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 318 cm. In terms of video signals, the device processes resolutions up to Full HD 1080P. Since entering the market in 2002, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model.
