Behind the name VX 55d is a LED-DLP projector by Runco, whose main features include 6000 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 2000:1 and a HDTV 1920 x 1080 resolution. According to Runco, the included lamp lasts up to 1000 hours. An integrated lens shift provides significant leeway for placement. The lens can be adjusted to precisely align the image even with off-center installations. Thanks to the interchangeable lens system, the device can be equipped with optional lenses to react flexibly to different room sizes. Exact values for specific rooms are provided by the Distance Calculator. Regarding projection size, the value of 6000 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 787 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 525 cm. In terms of video signals, the device processes resolutions up to Full HD 1080P. Since entering the market in 2006, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model. Important maintenance note: It is no longer possible to procure replacement lamps for this model.
