Based on DLP technology, the Runco VX 2dcx device delivers 2800 ANSI lumens, a resolution of HDTV 1280×720 Pixel and a contrast of 3500:1 as a projector. According to Runco, the included lamp lasts up to 2000 hours. The specifications indicate lens shift optics, allowing the image to be physically shifted without introducing digital image artifacts. The optical system is designed for the use of interchangeable lenses, allowing for a tailor-made configuration for almost any throw ratio. The Distance Calculator is available to calculate the exact dimensions. Looking at practical performance, up to 538 cm can be illuminated with 2800 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 359 cm. Since entering the market in 2006, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model.
