Based on DLP technology, the Wolf Cinema PRO-817 projects images in a Homecinema environment, with technical specs listing 2900 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 2000000:1 and a 4KESHIFT 2716 x 1528 resolution. Using this laser phosphor technology, the light source runtime is rated at 20000 hours. Daily use of 4 hours makes an operational lifespan of over 13.7 years possible. For precise setup, the device features a lens shift mechanism that allows for optical image shifting. To plan the individual installation location, a look at the Projector Calculator is recommended. Regarding projection size, the value of 2900 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 547 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 365 cm. In terms of video signals, the device processes resolutions up to Full HD 1080P and 4K as well as 3D, meaning standard Blu-ray formats are processed effortlessly. Thanks to MHL support, screen content from mobile devices can be transmitted via cable, including charging power for the device. For convenient remote monitoring and administration, the projector is equipped with a classic RJ45 network socket. A look at the data sheet confirms a very subtle fan noise for the projector at just 30 decibels. The projector was released in 2018 and is officially no longer distributed by Wolf Cinema.
