The projector PR9030 by Planar utilizes LCD technology and, according to the spec sheet, achieves 4000 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 1000:1 at a resolution of WXGA 1280 x 800. The runtime of the lamp in this model is estimated at 2000 hours before a replacement is necessary. Both optical image shifting (lens shift) and digital keystone adjustment are included, enabling exact alignment on the screen. Accurate distances are provided by the Lens Shift Calculator. A look at the light output reveals: The 4000 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 643 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 429 cm. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content. The projector was released in 2008 and is officially no longer distributed by Planar.
