Equipped with DLP technology, the Planar PD4010 offers 900 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 2500:1 and is designed as a versatile projector. The manufacturer lists the lamp life at 4000 hours – mathematically sufficient for 5.5 years based on two hours of use per day. For basic image adjustment, the device is equipped with horizontal and vertical keystone correction, allowing digital compensation for trapezoidal distortion at angled projection setups. Regarding projection size, the value of 900 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 305 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 203 cm. Since entering the market in 2006, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model.
