Categorized in the Homecinema segment, the PD7060 projector from Planar projects with a HDTV 1280 x 720 resolution, alongside 1000 ANSI lumens and a contrast of 3500:1. According to Planar, the included lamp lasts up to 4000 hours – mathematically sufficient for 5.5 years based on two hours of use per day. Should a perpendicular setup to the screen not be possible, the integrated keystone correction (horizontal and vertical) helps to realign the image into a perfect rectangle. A look at the light output reveals: The 1000 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 321 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 214 cm. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content. Since entering the market in 2006, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model.
