Known as the Aura 2, this 3D-DLP projector by XGIMI features basic specs of 2576 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 1000000:1 at a UHD (4K2K) 3840 x 2160 resolution. With its built-in laser light source, the projector achieves a manufacturer-stated lifespan of 30000 hours. Daily use of 4 hours makes an operational lifespan of over 20.5 years possible. Thanks to its low throw ratio, the model is excellently suited for rooms with limited space. A distance of just 35 cm is sufficient to generate an image width of 2 meters. To make performance data comparable based on the ISO lumen values, we calculated an approximate ANSI lumen value. Looking at practical performance, up to 516 cm can be illuminated with 2576 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 344 cm. In terms of video signals, the device processes resolutions up to Full HD 1080P and 4K as well as 3D, meaning standard Blu-ray formats are processed effortlessly. Furthermore, the model is Bluetooth-enabled, allowing audio signals to be sent wirelessly to external speakers. For convenient remote monitoring and administration, the projector is equipped with a classic RJ45 network socket. Since the projector supports Chromecast screen mirroring, video signals can also be streamed wirelessly from the end device.
