With the S3280, ASK Proxima offers a LED-LCD projector that features 2800 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 4000:1 and a resolution of XGA 1024 x 768. The runtime of the lamp in this model is estimated at 4000 hours before a replacement is necessary, achieving a lifespan of 5.5 years when used for 2 hours a day. A special feature is the short-throw lens, which allows the device to be positioned at a very short distance from the screen. According to the data sheet, an image width of 2 meters is achieved from a distance of just 94 cm. A look at the light output reveals: The 2800 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 461 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 307 cm. Since entering the market in 2012, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model.
