The short-throw PA500U laser LCD has 5000 Ansi lumens, a contrast of 500000:1 and a WUXGA 1920 x 1200 resolution. The manufacturer specifies a laser service life of 20000 hours, which is over 13.7 years with a daily viewing time of 4 hours. Thanks to the short-throw projection ratio of just 0.235:1, the projector does not stand still in the room. For a 2m wide image, the projector only needs to be 47 cm away from the screen. Playing 1080P is also no problem for the projector, which can even project Blu-rays onto the ceiling thanks to the 360° projection.
