With the S500, Dell offers a 3D-BrilliantColor-DLP projector that features 3200 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 2300:1 and a resolution of WXGA 1280 x 800. According to Dell, the lamp has a durability of 2500 hours. With its built-in wide-angle optics, the device belongs to the category of short-throw projectors. An image width of 2 meters is realized from a short distance of 60 cm. Looking at practical performance, up to 575 cm can be illuminated with 3200 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 383 cm. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content. As an additional feature, an integrated media player enables the direct playback of files without an external source device. For integration into professional environments, an RJ45 connection is available for network control and remote maintenance. This model dates back to 2011 and is no longer part of Dell's current product range. As an archive device, the projector remains highly relevant in our database.
