The equipment of the Aopen PV12a projector includes 220 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 5000:1 with a WVGA 854 x 480 display. As an LED projector, the spec sheet indicates a lifespan of 20000 hours, covering an estimated 13.7 years based on a 4-hour daily runtime. To reduce dependence on stationary power sources, the model is equipped with a built-in battery for autonomous operation. A look at the light output reveals: The 220 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 151 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 101 cm. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content. Also on board is a local media player that allows reading and playing content directly from storage media. For integration into professional environments, an RJ45 connection is available for network control and remote maintenance. Thanks to support for Miracast, Ezcast, Airplay, DLNA and Chromecast, screen content can also be cast wirelessly from a smartphone, tablet, or PC to the screen. Regarding noise emissions, the model proves to be exceptionally quiet during operation, producing just 20 decibels. The projector was released in 2022 and is officially no longer distributed by Aopen.
