As a projector, the Formovie S5 combines LCD technology with a resolution of HDTV 1920 x 1080, and is additionally specified with 1100 ANSI lumens and a contrast of 1500:1. This is a laser projector with a light source designed to last for 30000 hours, which translates to 20.5 years with 4 hours of daily use. For basic image adjustment, the device is equipped with horizontal and vertical keystone correction, allowing digital compensation for trapezoidal distortion at angled projection setups. Looking at practical performance, up to 337 cm can be illuminated with 1100 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 225 cm. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content. Furthermore, the model is Bluetooth-enabled, allowing audio signals to be sent wirelessly to external speakers. Since the projector supports Miracast and Airplay screen mirroring, video signals can also be streamed wirelessly from the end device.
