Behind the name U80 is a 3D-LED-DLP projector by Byintek, whose main features include 500 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 20000:1 and a HDTV 1920 x 1080 resolution. Thanks to LED technology, the projector is rated for a lifespan of up to 50000 hours – calculating to 34.2 years at four hours of use per day. For basic image adjustment, the device is equipped with horizontal and vertical keystone correction, allowing digital compensation for trapezoidal distortion at angled projection setups. To reduce dependence on stationary power sources, the model is equipped with a built-in battery for autonomous operation. Looking at practical performance, up to 227 cm can be illuminated with 500 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 151 cm. Additionally, a built-in ambient light sensor measures the room lighting and automatically adjusts the projection settings. For media input, video signals up to 1080P and 4K are supported. Also on board is a local media player that allows reading and playing content directly from storage media. Thanks to support for Miracast and Airplay, screen content can also be cast wirelessly from a smartphone, tablet, or PC to the screen. With a value of only 28 decibels, the noise level during operation remains pleasantly in the background.
