Based on LCD technology, the Boxlight CP 740e projects images in a Standard-Portabel environment, with technical specs listing 2500 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 500:1 and a XGA 1024 x 768 resolution. The runtime of the lamp in this model is estimated at 2000 hours before a replacement is necessary. The image geometry can be adjusted via the built-in keystone correction so that a clean, rectangular display is achieved even with non-ideal placement. Looking at practical performance, up to 435 cm can be illuminated with 2500 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 290 cm. Since entering the market in 2004, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model.
