May 31, 2001 - Luxeon today announced the launch of its new value-line front digital projector product - V1, suitable for small corporations, schools and budget conscious users who require a no-nonsense solution for their presentation needs. This lightweight (7.1 lbs.) ultra-portable projector produces an average of 1000 ANSI lumens in brightness, high contrast ratio of 250:1 offering top performance at an affordable price. The heart of a V1 is a 3-panel 0.9” polysilicon TFT LCD capable of SVGA native resolution. With XGA compression and plug-and-project features, maximum compatibility is achieved, ensuring a solid connection with most of today’s notebook and desktop personal computers. Coupled with an easy-to-use auto setup feature, digital keystone adjustment and its unique Color Image System, the V1 makes it possible for users to focus on their presentation with confidence.

In addition, the V1 offers VGA, RCA and S-Video connectors allowing for increased functionality and enabling the digital projector to project images from a variety of sources, including computers and other audio/video devices. The built-in 3W internal speaker and stereo input jack ensure that presentations are clearly heard as well as seen.

High quality and affordability are the key factors in the design of V1 providing a perfect solution for new user transitioning from printouts, slides and overheads. Without sacrificing performance and versatility, the V1 also offers stationary ceiling and rear projection mounting capability for fixed location installation. The durability and longevity of 4000-hours lamp life (120W UHP, user replaceable) also provides peace of mind to the user without worries of degrading presentation performance.

Luxeon offers a high level of service and support with a three-year limited warranty on the projector, a 90-day limited warranty on the user-replaceable lamp module. V1 will be available in July 2001.
