• You LED display announces 'replace the lamp'
  
• The projector displays that it needs a new bulb in the OnScreen Menu
  
• Your picture darkens by and by, by what the colours and also the contrast fade.
  
• There is a flickering of the screen.
  
• The light bulb counter has reached its maximal life expectancy.
  
• You can't switch on the projector anymore, because the bulb has reached the end of its normal bulb life.
  
• After a couple a minutes the projector switches off by itself.
  
• The frame of the picture is shaded and dark; the brightness does not suffice for the whole illumination level anymore.
  
• The bulb has broken. (Bild:1).
• The bulb at the end of the lamp bulb is covered by a smoke screen. This effect does not occur on every lamp.

Please keep in mind that these lamps can't be checked by a continuity tester because the two tungsten electrodes don't contact.
